Parents always ask me this first, and fair enough. You’re planning a whole day around it.
It depends on the style
Simple cornrows are the quickest. Box braids or knotless with beads take longer, and the smaller the braids, the longer it goes. Length and how thick your child’s hair is play a part too. When you send me a picture, I’ll give you a real time estimate so you can plan.
Prep makes it faster
Come with hair washed, detangled and blow-dried, unless you booked prep with me. That alone can save a lot of time in the chair, and your child sits less.
What to bring
- A tablet or a favorite show (with headphones)
- Snacks and a drink
- A comfy outfit
- The beads you want, if you have a color in mind
Breaks are okay
Little ones need to stretch. We take breaks whenever they need them. My goal is a happy kid and a style they’re proud of.
Kids’ braids start at $60, box braids from $100, cornrows from $45. Final price is set at your consultation.
